Everyone wants a dining area for a delicious dinner and the conversation which is at an equally high level as the wine. A dining table is a symbol of being together with the family and with guests. There are just so many dining tables and chairs. The choice between robust natural wood, elegant polished mahogany or light and airy glass is entirely up to you. But we can give you some helpful tips to design your dining table. Using a number of practical guidelines make your dining room more efficient and comfortable. You can adapt following practical guidelines:
Keep at least 90 cm free space around the edge of the dining table; so you can use your seat backwards without bumps against walls or other furniture.
You should keep at least 120 cm free space between a door and the dining area to walk in and out easily.
It is important to create a free routing between the kitchen and dining table.
For a lamp hanging above the dining table, you should keep 60 cm free space between the lowest point of the lamp and table top. To place the lamp too high is also not pleasant, as it eliminates the functionality of the lamp.
A rug under the dining area should be approximately 90 cm greater than the table.
Between two dining chairs, there must be at least 50 cm space to prevent the bumps of elbows.
For the proper dimensions of the dining table, calculate 60 cm per person.
